Warranty

Built for good. Backed for good.

Every Kanz product is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product — not the life of the receipt. If a panel, weld, hinge, drawer, or structural component fails because we built it wrong, we will repair it, replace the part, or replace the unit, at our choice and our cost.

The warranty follows the kitchen, not the owner. Hand it down, give it away, find one at an estate sale — if it's a Kanz and the failure is our fault, we'll make it right. Numbered units from our production batches are traceable by their plate.

What's covered: structural and functional defects in the aluminum body, work surface, lid, drawer, legs, shelves, hinges, and hardware under normal outdoor use.

What's not covered: normal wear and patina (the birch will darken and the aluminum will scuff — that's the product aging the way it's meant to), damage from misuse, modification, fire beyond normal cooking exposure, vehicle accidents, or loss. Cookware and third-party items (Snow Peak, GSI, stoves) carry their own manufacturers' warranties, and we'll help you navigate those claims.

How to claim: email allen@kanzoutdoors.com with photos and a description. You'll get a reply from a person — usually the person who built it. No forms, no fine print, no "proof of purchase required" if the unit is clearly ours.

A note on honesty: patina isn't a defect. A Field Kitchen that's been used for twenty years should look like it. If yours breaks doing its job, that's on us and we'll fix it. If it just looks loved, congratulations — that's the point.
